Pinot Grigio is the most famous white grape variety of Italy and is currently one of the most popular wine styles to drink in the world. The grape itself is closely related to Pinot Noir, and characterised by a greyish blue tinge in the grape skins. Pinot Grigio is planted throughout region of Veneto, however Guerrieri Rizzardi has sourced the grapes from vineyards in the hills just east of the city of Verona. These vineyards benefit from the elevation, producing high quality fruit with the distinctive varietal character that our wine making team insists on. The wine is clean, crisp while preserving all of the delicate citric fruits that represent the classic Pinot Grigio flavour. Our Pinot Grigio is dry, refreshing and we recommend it to be served chilled (10-12° C or 50-55° F) with vegetarian, light seafood or white meat dishes..
Sunday Irish Tribune, April 2007 “Wine” John Wilson. “Some very enticing youthful aromas lead on to a delicious fresh mouthful of pears with a touch of honey. Crisp and dry, this is a classic Veneto pinot grigio at its finest. This would be great aperitif, or alongside leafy salads with fish.”
