
The first vintage of Clos Roareti, our premium quality merlot was 2004 from the historic vineyard of Rovereti, in Negrar, Valpolicella. In this 100 year old walled vineyard, Giuseppe Rizzardi has planted Merlot and others grape varietals that are perfectly suited to the climate and soil. The resulting wine has rich, full bodied and complex Merlot characteristics in the nose and the palate, with a hint of oak characteristics.
We recommend it to be decanted and served (16-18° C or 60-65° F) with roasted game or red meats such as rack of lamb or fillet mignon.
