The name Munus means “gift” in the latin language and this special wine represents for Guerrieri Rizzardi a gift from the Pozzo vineyard. Produced in limited quantities, this wine is a selection of the highest quality grapes from our best vineyards situated in Bardolino and Cavaion in the Classico Area of Bardolino. This wine also represents the first Guerrieri Rizzardi red wine to obtain DOCG classification. Our Munus is light in color, medium bodied with spicy notes and has a long finish reminiscent of the great wines of Burgundy. We recommend this wine to be decanted and served (16° C or 60° F) with roast meats, spicy dishes or smoked fish such smoked herring.
